READING, PA (April 27, 2017) – Reading United A.C.’s 2017 Premier Development League roster continues to take shape as the club announced today the return of three members of last season’s Mid-Atlantic Division winning side. Ben Beaury, Khori Bennett and Aaron Molloy will return to United, pending final league approval. The returning trio’s familiarity with the club and PDL experience provides United Head Coach Stephen Hogan’s squad a major boost as they look to build on last season’s success.

Goalkeeper Ben Beaury returns to Reading after a breakthrough 2016 season with the club. Beaury’s steady play in goal was a major reason United finished the 2016 PDL season with the best defensive record in the Mid-Atlantic Division. The Cohoes, New York native conceded just five goals in nine matches last season.

Beaury’s excellent form with Reading carried over to his collegiate season at Lemoyne College. In 18 matches for the Dolphins, Beaury posted seven shutouts and a goals against average of 0.83. The Reading goalkeeper earned All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team honors and was named the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year.

Forward Khori Bennett got the 2016 PDL season started with a bang. Just a minute into Reading’s season opening match at Lehigh Valley United, Bennett netted his first goal of the PDL season. The Northeastern University star also scored the game-winning goal in United’s U.S. Open Cup First Round victory over the Atlanta Silverbacks. The native of St. Andrews, Jamaica returns after playing in eleven matches for United in 2016.

Former Ireland Youth National Team midfielder Aaron Molloy will be back with Reading United after joining the squad as a late season addition as the club looked to clinch the Mid-Atlantic Division title. Molloy paid immediate dividends for Reading, scoring a goal in United’s road win over the Jersey Express to claim the division crown. The Irishman would appear in five matches for Reading in 2016, including all three of United’s playoff games.

During his freshman season at Keiser University, Molloy appeared in 15 games and found the back of the net four times for the Seahawks. The Dublin, Ireland native’s excellent first season at Keiser earned him Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors. Prior to playing collegiately, Molloy was the captain of Bohemian FC’s under-19 squad, one of the most successful clubs in the League of Ireland.

The 2017 Reading United season kicks off on Wednesday, May 10th at Exeter's Don Thomas Stadium. The club will face Clarkstown SC Eagles in the First Round of the 104th edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, kickoff is set for 7:30pm. The 2017 PDL season begins on Saturday, May 13th when United host their in-state rivals Lehigh Valley United at Don Thomas Stadium.
