READING, PA (June 29, 2017) – Reading United vs. Ocean City Nor'easters... take two!

After severe weather and a power outage forced the abandonment of the clubs' regularly scheduled meeting on Friday, June 23rd, Reading United and their archrivals the Ocean City Nor'easters will replay their Premier Development League match tonight at Wilson's Gurski Stadium with kickoff set for 7:30pm.

Reading United A.C. (7-1-0) will look to extend their winning streak and push past the Ocean City Nor’easters (7-3-0) in the standings with a win tonight. The last time these two teams met, United defeated Ocean City, 1-0, thanks to a last minute goal from Aaron Molloy.

Reading United are currently on a six game winning streak after Tuesday's 4-1 win on the road at F.A. Euro. Paul Marie opened the scoring in the first half, while Aaron Molloy scored his sixth goal of the season just before halftime. Khori Bennett, who has missed much of the season due to injury, scored his second goal of the campaign, while Gilbery Waso capped the scoring with a goal in stoppage time. United’s defense has been in top form throughout the winning streak, allowing just four goals in six matches.

Ocean City head back to Reading fresh off a close 1-0 home victory over F.A. Euro. Max Hemmings' 4th minute tally was the game's only goal.

Fredlin Mompremier, a dangerous forward from Fairleigh-Dickinson University, leads the team with six goals on the season.

Reading United and Ocean City are currently tied for second place in the Premier Development League Mid-Atlantic Division with 21 points, though Reading have played two few matches. This will be the first of back-to-back matches meetings between the two clubs. United will travel to Ocean City for Sunday evening's match, the final time the rivals will play each other during the 2017 PDL regular season.

This match will be the 44th meeting since the organizations began playing each other in 1997 as Reading Rage & the South Jersey Barons. Since 2010, Reading United holds the edge against Ocean City with ten wins in sixteen games. The rivals have combined to win six division titles since 2008.

Reading United will hit the road for two matches before returning to Don Thomas Stadium on Wednesday, July 5th when they host Lehigh Valley United in Premier Development League action. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm with tickets available online. All United home matches throughout the 2017 PDL season will be played at Exeter Township Senior High School.
