Who’s the other squad?

Just off of the beach at Ocean City, New Jersey, the Ocean City Nor’easters compete in the USL League Two. Although their standings in the division at the moment (6th) may not show it, this team battles hard against their opponents as seen in the previous matchup between these two teams (see the last section for more info).

All-Time Records

Tensions run high in this long-time rivalry between these two teams, with Reading having the most recent string of
victories, notching two-goal victories in all three meetings last season. This is the 49th matchup between the two squads,
with Reading taking an all-time 21-20-7 lead, including a 14-2-3 stretch since the 2011 season. Ocean City has not won a
regular season match in Reading in their last eleven matches dating back to 2006, going 0-9-2 over that stretch.

Player to Keep An Eye On

Ranked 31st on the USL League Two Top Prospects, forward Deri Corfe will definitely be on United’s radar. In just five games played so far this season, the UK native has fourteen shots on net and four goals, scoring two of them to help the Nor’easters top the Rough Riders.

Last Time We Met

In the previous matchup between these two clubs, United defeated the Nor’easters (2-4) at Carey Stadium or as they like to call it “The Beach House”, on July 7th, 2018. It was a tight game until the 64th minute in the second half when United’s Khori Bennet put the visiting team up by two. We can expect to have another closely fought match this Saturday as well.

Catch the Action

These two teams hit the pitch Saturday, June 15th at 7:00 pm. The match will take place at Wilson High School’s Gurski Stadium.  Livestream is able to be viewed at readingunitedac.com/livestream.
