READING, PA (July 15, 2019) - USL League Two announced today that Reading United A.C. has been selected to host the 2019 Eastern Conference Final Four, set to take place at Wilson High School’s Gurski Stadium on Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st.

Reading United will be joined this weekend by the Northeast Division Champion, Western Massachusetts Pioneers, South Atlantic Division Champion, North Carolina Fusion U23, and the Northeast Division runner-up, GPS Portland Phoenix.

The conference semi-finals will take place on Saturday, July 20th with a double-header being played at 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Top-seeded Western Massachusetts Pioneers will face North Carolina Fusion U23 in the first match of the evening, while Reading United will face GPS Portland Phoenix in the second.

The winner of the matches on Saturday evening will advance to the Eastern Conference Final, to be played on Sunday, July 21st and kickoff at 7:00pm.

Under the current format for the USL League Two postseason, the Eastern Conference Final Four will be made up of the champions of the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and South Atlantic Divisions and the highest-finishing second-place team in the Eastern Conference.

The winner of the Eastern Conference Final Four will move on to the USL League Two National Semifinals for a chance to win the 2018 USL League Two Championship.

This will be the third time in four years that Reading has been chosen to host the Eastern Conference Final Four. United hosted last season at Gurski Stadium, advancing past Myrtle Beach Mutiny by a 4-3 scoreline, before clinching the third Eastern Conference Championship in team history by downing rival New York Red Bulls U23 in a rain-soaked 2-1 victory. United also hosted in 2016 at Exeter High School’s Don Thomas Stadium. Reading advanced to the conference championship match that year but fell to arch-rivals, the Ocean City Nor’easters, by a 4-1 scoreline.

Tickets will be available online at readingunitedac.com/tickets on Monday, July 15th beginning at 5:00pm. Single game tickets are only $5 when purchased online, and packages for the entire weekend of soccer will also be available.
