Mountain Division to kick off during the final week of May

TAMPA, Fla.- The United Soccer League (USL) announced today the schedule for the 2021 USL League Two Mountain Division. The division’s first match will see Colorado Rush host Park City Red Wolves SC on May 28.

The Mountain Division is represented by Colorado Rush, Ogden City SC and Park City Red Wolves SC. As the newest team to enter the Mountain Division, Colorado Rush will take the field for the first time this season as League Two competitors, while Ogden City SC and Park City Red Wolves SC will each prepare for their return to the pitch for yet another season with League Two.

“We are so delighted for today's announcement of the 2021 USL League Two Mountain Division schedule,” said Joe Webb, CEO of Colorado Rush. “The Rush Pro Development team has shown so much resilience throughout 2020 and this group is really firing on all cylinders and bursting to get out on the pitch. Despite the adversity of being hit with a pandemic right out of the gate after our 2020 launch, our internal staff has shown tremendous dedication and will remain steadfast to our overall vision and goals for the franchise, regardless of any hurdles or speed bumps we encounter. Our players will take part in some very fierce USL League Two competition in 2021, both in our Mountain Division and outside the division. That is what we all are really looking forward to the most.”

"We are extremely excited to get back to competitive play and to provide more opportunities for Utah Youth alumni to continue developing on their pathway to pro,” said Bryan Attridge, CEO of Ogden City SC and Utah Youth Soccer Association.

With 75 teams participating, the 2021 season promises to present a top-notch level of competition as the clubs compete to raise the League Two trophy in late July. Out of the 75 teams competing, the Mountain Division represents three promising clubs who are looking to make waves this season.

“With the season kickoff right around the corner, we are excited to announce the 2021 schedule for the Mountain Division,” said Joel Nash, Vice President of USL League Two. “After careful consideration around the impact of COVID-19, the Mountain Division has decided to move forward with its season and battle it out to determine who will reign supreme in the region. We look forward to welcoming back the Mountain Division for another year of League Two play.”
