United tickets are going completely digital in 2021

READING, PA (May 4, 2021) –  Reading United today announced their partnership with Passage Ticketing ahead of the 2021 season. USL League Two previously announced an agreement with Passage in June 2020, naming them as the official ticketing partner of the league. Passage shares similar partnerships with NPSL, UPSL, and United Women’s Soccer.

After purchase, fans will receive an email with a QR code that can be printed off or scanned directly from their smartphone at the gate. With an average scan time of 0.2 seconds, Reading United will be able to avoid long lines and get directly into the main concourse in record time. Passage will also send automated reminders to fans ahead of games to remind them of gate opening. In the event someone is not able to make it, tickets are completely transferable via email.

Passage also allows for timed ticketing to keep arrival times staggered and potentially blocking seats to allow for social distancing.

Tickets purchased online through Passage for individual games will cost only $5 per ticket + fees, as opposed to $10 at the gate. Fans purchasing at the gate will not incur ticketing fees.

The addition of Passage adds to a continuing effort by the club to be more environmentally conscious. In recent years, the club has gone to an online-only gameday program and an extensive online will-call list that kept physical tickets to a minimum. The club will also be celebrating a “Preserve The Pitch” night in July to celebrate “green” non-profits in the Greater Reading area.

Passage’s advanced portal will help establish a seamless fan experience, providing professional features such as assigned seating, season passes, bundled ticket and merchandise packages, flex passes, and more.

Passage has created an online portal for all USL League Two teams - tickets.uslleaguetwo.com. The portal can handle not only ticket sales, but potentially concession and merchandise sales as well. Additionally, the new site will provide a one-stop-shop for soccer fans looking to attend League Two games across the United States and Canada. Driving online traffic to one central portal will help individual teams reach more fans and will make it simpler for fans to find a game near them. The underlying technology will also give fans the same level of world-class reporting and top-of-the-line support for which Passage is known.
