Another excellent month of games, another excellent month of performances from some of the league's best. The June Team of the Month is below, decided on using input from coaches, the USL Sporting Department and statistical output from players across the league.

Just two more weeks of matches remain before it's time for the USL League Two Playoffs!

GK | Ryan Troutman, Des Moines Menace

Troutman didn’t allow a single goal in the month of June. Yes, you read that right. Not one. Peoria City has only been held scoreless twice this season, and once was during Troutman’s perfect month. His presence, reflexes and one-on-one ability provided fantastic security for an already solid Des Moines Menace team. The Cardinal keeper has made his mark on one of the most storied sides in the league.

D | Maxwell Miller, Asheville City SC

Miller’s value as a right back or right wing back for the Blues is immense. While their defensive record as a team wasn’t elite, Miller’s pressure on opposing defenses up the right side of the pitch was essential in their 3-1-1 record over the month of June. Building play from back to front is a strength of Asheville’s, and Miller is essential to that process.

D | Reid Sproat, Fort Wayne FC

Reid Sproat played 459 minutes in June. Fort Wayne did not allow a goal in those 459 minutes. Though it doesn’t count towards being in Team of the Month, it should also be noted that Fort Wayne played another match at the start of July and kept another clean sheet. Their defensive record is getting absurd, and Sproat is the anchor.

D | Hugo Bacharach, Flint City Bucks

Bacharach has been a staple at the back for the Bucks, and June was as productive a month for him as any in a Bucks uniform. His sensational strike in Week 7 earned him Goal of the Week honors as he continued his standard level of play at the back, which has led Flint City to a near-perfect record on the season so far.

D | Edoardo Calzola, Thunder Bay Chill

Thunder Bay Chill kept a packed schedule in the month of June, and Calzola was up to the task. The left back provided security both at the back and going forward, helping the Deep North-topping Chill to three clean sheets and a 7-1-0 record in the month.

M | Aristode Banzouzi, South Carolina United FC

The Gardner-Webb midfielder had a stellar June that saw South Carolina United stick both feet into the race for the South Central Divisional title. His control and ability to turn and get the ball forward was critical in the club’s 4-1-1 June. He even added a pair of goals, one against North Alabama SC and another against Tennessee SC, who were trying to maintain their position in the playoff race.

M | Jorge Lopez, Ventura County Fusion

While Logan Farrington may steal the headlines up top for the Fusion, Lopez was the engine that made them go. In the club’s early-season loss to Redlands FC, Lopez didn’t appear – in their 3-1 win in the reverse fixture, he played all 90 minutes and the Fusion completely dominated the proceedings. There’s a different level of force in the midfield when Lopez is in. When he starts, the Fusion have yet to drop points.

M | Marc Torrellas, Chicago City SC (captain)

Torrellas was nothing short of magnificent in June. An obviously perfect record for the only perfect team left in League Two, Torrellas is by far their most consistent and dangerous attacker. The No. 10 doesn’t mind floating wide to link up play, drive through the middle, pick out a pass, or use his supreme technical ability to dodge would-be tacklers and create a numerical advantage. The captain’s armband of this Team of the Month comfortably rests on Chicago City SC’s star man, as he continues the club’s quest for perfection.

F | Kyle Linhares, FC Motown STA

Linhares exploded in the month of June, capped off by a hat trick against second-place Hudson Valley Hammers, who have only conceded 14 goals all season, including the three from the Motown right winger. While the Motown back line has struggled to contain goals, Linhares has been such a force alongside Sam Sarver that they’ve been able to snag some very impressive results – most notably the wins against Manhattan SC and Hudson Valley Hammers, both of which saw Linhares score.

F | Stas Korzeniowski, Ballard FC

Korzeniowski is a goal scoring force unto himself, and it’s extremely apparent when he’s not bearing down on net. He scored in every June match he played in – and when he wasn’t available late in the month, Ballard FC went 1-1-1. He put in a whopping four goals against Lane United at Civic Park, and the Bridges need his goalscoring ability to return to their dominant form.

F | Bernardo dos Santos Monteiro, Charlotte Eagles

Nobody scored more consistently in June than dos Santos Monteiro. Eight goals in seven matches, and the Eagles were never held to just one goal in any match over the last month. The left winger has been in scorching form, finishing his chances and creating a couple of his own along the way. With a defense that’s only kept two clean sheets this season, the Eagles will need dos Santos Monteiro to continue his Golden Boot-challenging form to chase a coveted playoff spot.
