In three PDL seasons with Reading, Paul Marie (pictured) tallied 15 goals and helped the team reach the postseason in 2016 & 2017.

With Major League Soccer's 2018 SuperDraft set to take place later this week, former Reading United stars are set to feature on a "home" stage at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Mo Adams, Pablo Aguilar, Paul Marie and Frantzdy Pierrot headline the Reading United alums available for selection by Major League Soccer's 23 clubs.

Since 2008, Reading United have had 32 former players selected at the SuperDraft. In each of the past seven drafts a Reading player has been selected in the first round. A total of 19 alums have been selected in the SuperDraft's first round. Lancaster County native Andrew Wenger, who played for Reading in 2009 and 2010, was the number one overall pick in the 2012 SuperDraft.

MO ADAMS

With a Generation Adidas contract in hand, United midfielder Mo Adams looks to be a sure fire first round draft pick. The former Derby County FC youth academy product spent two seasons with the Syracuse Men's Soccer Team and garnered praise for his play as a holding midfielder. Adams was named to the All-ACC Second Team in 2017.

Adams featured in 6 matches for Reading United in 2017, playing alongside his Syracuse teammate, Hugo Delhommelle. The Englishman is the seventh Reading United alum to earn a Generation Adidas contract.

Scouts love Adams' high motor, distribution and his ability to cover a lot ground on the pitch.

PABLO AGUILAR

Aguilar was a late season reinforcement for United in 2017. The creative midfielder saw action in three matches for Reading and displayed a silky smooth touch that will surely catch the eyes of scouts at the Combine in Orlando.

Aguilar was a key piece of the Virginia Cavaliers midfield and earned All-ACC Second Team honors for the second consecutive season. The Reading alum capped his decorated career for the Cavs having scored 16 goals and 8 assists.

PAUL MARIE

Marie wrapped up his distinguished three year career with Reading United in 2017. The Frenchman is third on Reading's all-time goal scoring charts, firing in 15 goals in 36 matches for United. Marie etched his name in club history when he saved the day with a last second match-winning goal against long time rivals Ocean City in 2016.

Marie is a two time All-Conference USA First Team player for Florida International University. His versatility will be an asset at the next level, as the former Reading man can play as a wide midfielder or an outside back.

FRANTZDY PIERROT

Pierrot was the focal point of Reading United's potent attack for the past two seasons. The big forward scored 13 goals in league play over 24 matches while also recording three goals for United in Open Cup play.

Pierrot earned Sun Belt Player of the Year at Coastal Carolina University in 2017 when he scored 10 goals and helped the Chanticleers advance to the third round of the College Cup.

At 6'4", Pierrot has the size to match up against MLS centerbacks as well as deceptive quickness to beat them on the dribble.

Reading United staff will be on hand at the MLS SuperDraft on Friday, January 19th to provide full coverage of the event and the selection of our alums. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for live updates from the draft room.
