Reading United A.C. also includes a men's >40 soccer team. This team participates in the Eastern Pennsylvania Amateur Soccer League (EPASL), which is a non-profit organization run by Len and Bryn Weckel. The league is designed for male players over the age of 40 to continue playing soccer. The league runs a fall season, culminating in Division playoffs in November. In the Spring, the League runs a more relaxed season, opening up to male players 38 and older, with no playoffs.
For the 2024 Fall Season, there is an A Division comprising four (4) teams, and a B Division comprising eight (8) teams. The teams are from both Berks and Lancaster counties. Games are played on Sunday afternoons.
The EPASL is part of the Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association (EPSA), which in turn is part of the largest adult soccer organization in the United States, the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). The USASA is made up of 54 State Associations plus National and Regional leagues. Altogether these leagues help feed the passion for the game to over 250,000 players nationwide.
