Reading United A.C. (formerly Reading Rage) is a pre-professional soccer club based in Reading, Pennsylvania that enters teams in the United Soccer League’s (USL) League Two —the top men’s pre-professional league in North America and the WPSL - the longest-active women’s soccer league in the United States with a membership of 120+ teams.

USL League Two is considered the 4th level of soccer (comparable to Single A in baseball terms) in the United States below Major League Soccer and the United Soccer Leagues’ First and Second Divisions. Players have the ability to compete in the USL League Two throughout the summer months in a professionalized setting while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. Additionally, current and former professional players can utilize USL League Two as a platform for exposure to the top professional scouts. The league is the proving ground for players who aspire to reach the highest levels of the game, while providing affordable family entertainment to the Greater Reading community.  

As of 2023, the WPSL is still the longest-active women’s soccer league in the United States and with a membership of 120+ teams, it’s also the largest women’s soccer league in the world.  Its national footprint stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific and down to the Gulf with teams in 29 of the 50 U.S. states. The WPSL holds a 15.3% annual growth rate and has averaged 31 expansion teams each season since 2016.

Adhering to its mission of providing the highest level of development opportunities, WPSL team rosters consist of elite female players from collegiate, post-collegiate, international, and standout prep athletes. The average age of a WPSL player is 20.7 years old. Sixty-nine percent of WPSL players are rostered on teams from their hometown’s metro area and 92% of the WPSL’s collegiate athletes play for NCAA member institutions.

Reading United A.C. is a youth “club-neutral” provider of soccer camps, clinics, and great minor league soccer action.
