A live presence.  Reading United AC is a soccer club with three teams, hosting 12 live soccer games at Alvernia University’s turf field.  Each home game averages 250-350 people in attendance and games have different themes, awareness games, and kids' nights.  Your business name on our game jerseys, announced on a PA system and/or on our on-field signs are an excellent way to advertise your business while supporting the Berks County community.  

An online partner.  In addition to live exposure at our home games, as a sponsor you will benefit from Reading United’s strong social media presence.  Reading United put up 10,324 engagements on Twitter and Facebook during our 2023 season (May-July).  Over 100k viewers have seen our posts.  Our online audience is very diverse, so your advertisement will reach a large swath of different people. Our social media engagement is an almost 50/50 split between men & women. Geographically, we are engaged with the local community and beyond.  We reach local areas in Berks County, broader communities in eastern Pennsylvania, and international sites such as far as Dublin, Ireland. 

A business partner.  Most of the people checking our socials are also involved in Business Development, which gives you B2B opportunities.  Our staff of over 40+ people working, analyzing, and promoting RUAC games is a network of professionals who hold full-time jobs in the contracting, automotive, legal, and academic fields. 

 With an average of 300 plus people at our live home games and 15,000+ profile visits on our social media accounts, a Reading United sponsorship provides ample opportunity to promote your business.

Interested in sales? RUAC is seeking a Commission-based, Partnership Sales Person

Are you a passionate and driven individual with a knack for sales? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Partnership Sales Person, specializing in securing partnerships and sponsorships for our thriving soccer club, Reading United AC. This is a part-time position where you can keep your full-time day job and earn extra money on the side.

**Position Overview:**

As a Partnership Sales Person, your main responsibility will be to identify and engage potential sponsors for Reading United AC. You will play a vital role in expanding the club's financial support by building strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in aligning themselves with the only pre-professional men’s and women’s soccer teams in Berks County..

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Identify and research potential sponsors within the local community.
- Reach out to prospects through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to present sponsorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with club management to create attractive sponsorship packages tailored to the needs and goals of each potential sponsor.
- Negotiate terms and close sponsorship deals that benefit both the club and the sponsor.
- Maintain an organized record of contacts, leads, and follow-up actions.
- Attend club events and games to network with potential sponsors and showcase the value of partnership.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities and progress to the club management.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven track record in sales, preferably in sponsorship or sports-related fields.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking abilities and a knack for building relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with the local business landscape and community.

**Compensation:**

This is a commission-based role, offering competitive commission rates based on successful sponsorship deals closed. The more you sell, the more you earn. High performers will have the opportunity for ongoing collaboration and potential growth within the club's sponsorship team.
