In the spring of 2024, Reading United A.C. will be 27 years old!!  Our teams and players have achieved tremendous success on the field of play.  RUAC hosts multiple teams: a USL League Two team (4th level of men’s soccer in USA), a reserve team that plays multiple friendly matches,  a WPSL team (women's premiere league), and even an over 40-age men's team participating in the Eastern PA Amateur Soccer League.

Since 2008, we have nearly 100 former Reading United players playing professional soccer worldwide.  Forty-two (42) of our alumni have received call-ups to their national team.  We currently have 15 alumni playing with one of the 28 MLS teams.  We are able to bring the highest level of players into Reading for the summer solely due to the support of fantastic partners like you.  We are proud that Reading businesses are helping us to provide cost effective, family friendly, soccer to the greater Reading area.

RUAC has a loyal fan base, both in-person and online. For the 2023 season, attendance averaged 400 plus fans for each home game, and there were 12 of them - 7 men's games and 5 women's game.  Each home game is also streamed online.  There were 100 continuous streams per home game. Our home games were played at Alvernia’s Turf Field.  Fans were treated by our beer garden partner, Willow Creek Brewing of West Reading. Team uniforms, coaching gear, and staff apparel were provided by Capelli Sports.   Whether in-person or online, our sponsors were visible for all to see with company banners strategically placed around Alvernia’s Turf Field.  

We are looking to build relationships with select sponsors for the 2024 season  (jersey sponsors) and we hope you will consider promoting your business through RUAC sponsorship opportunities.  

1. Title Sponsor:  This title sponsor will see their company name on all 4 of our team's uniforms, training gear, website, social media, live broadcasts, and more.  We will tailor this sponsorship (number of tickets, special events at matches, etc.) to meet your company and employee needs.

2. Kit Sponsor: There are also other 2024 kit sponsors opportunities.  We offer back of the shirt above and below the number, the sleeves, and the shorts for your company's logo placement. Your company will also be seen on all of our 4 team's uniforms.   These kits sponsors will also see their company logo's on website, social media, live broadcasts, and more.  We will tailor this sponsorship (number of tickets, special events at matches, etc.) to meet your company and employee needs.

3. Game day Sponsor: Most of our regular season home games will be $5000. Our charity night - Cancer Awareness Night,  will be $7,500.  These gameday sponsors (in addition to season long game signage, program ad, in-game reads, etc.) will include your company logo on our team gameday warmup jerseys (with jerseys provided to you or donated to charity of your choice), handouts at game, marketing tent/table in stadium concourse, and 100 tickets for your use for your employees, customers, family, or friends.

4. $5,000 Ball Runner Sponsor: At each of our 12 home games, we have ball runners. Ball runners wear a RUAC t-shirt with your company logo placed prominently on the back of the t-shirt. There are up to 6 ball runners around the field.  These ball runners are typically volunteer youth players who get to keep the t-shirt!

5. $7,500 Referee Sponsor: This package is tailor-made for an eye care company.   Beside signage on the field, this package will predominately be featured over the loudspeaker.  For example, imagine that at the start of the game, we announce: “Tonight’s referees are John, Paul, George and Ringo, sponsored by  the Acme Ophthalmology Group!” and when a referee calls a foul: “This referee call was made with the help of Acme Ophthalmology!"

A live presence.  Reading United AC is a soccer club with three teams, hosting 12 live soccer games at Alvernia University’s turf field.  Each home game averages 250-350 people in attendance and games have different themes, awareness games, and kids' nights.  Your business name on our game jerseys, announced on a PA system and/or on our on-field signs are an excellent way to advertise your business while supporting the Berks County community.  

An online partner.  In addition to live exposure at our home games, as a sponsor you will benefit from Reading United’s strong social media presence.  Reading United put up 10,324 engagements on Twitter and Facebook during our 2023 season (May-July).  Over 100k viewers have seen our posts.  Our online audience is very diverse, so your advertisement will reach a large swath of different people. Our social media engagement is an almost 50/50 split between men & women. Geographically, we are engaged with the local community and beyond.  We reach local areas in Berks County, broader communities in eastern Pennsylvania, and international sites such as far as Dublin, Ireland. 

A business partner.  Most of the people checking our socials are also involved in Business Development, which gives you B2B opportunities.  Our staff of over 40+ people working, analyzing, and promoting RUAC games is a network of professionals who hold full-time jobs in the contracting, automotive, legal, and academic fields.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Partnership Sales Person, specializing in securing partnerships and sponsorships for our thriving soccer club, Reading United AC. This is a part-time position where you can keep your full-time day job and earn extra money on the side.

**Position Overview:**

As a Partnership Sales Person, your main responsibility will be to identify and engage potential sponsors for Reading United AC. You will play a vital role in expanding the club's financial support by building strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in aligning themselves with the only pre-professional men’s and women’s soccer teams in Berks County..

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Identify and research potential sponsors within the local community.
- Reach out to prospects through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to present sponsorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with club management to create attractive sponsorship packages tailored to the needs and goals of each potential sponsor.
- Negotiate terms and close sponsorship deals that benefit both the club and the sponsor.
- Maintain an organized record of contacts, leads, and follow-up actions.
- Attend club events and games to network with potential sponsors and showcase the value of partnership.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities and progress to the club management.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven track record in sales, preferably in sponsorship or sports-related fields.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking abilities and a knack for building relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with the local business landscape and community.

**Compensation:**

This is a commission-based role, offering competitive commission rates based on successful sponsorship deals closed. The more you sell, the more you earn. High performers will have the opportunity for ongoing collaboration and potential growth within the club's sponsorship team.
